Re: What is LIQDT ?

Hi grimm, It's not quite as simple as that ;) It's tempting to turn it down and then back up just far enough to remove any clicks and pops, but in practice low settings can also raise a whole range of low-level background 'nasties' considerably, that get smoothed out naturally at higher settings. Ov...

Re: Optimizing Nebula3 Free Presets

Hi Shuriken! I don't think there's a lot of point increasing the number of kernels - this is set by the developer for each preset to reflect the number of kernels (harmonic contributions) that have been captured. When set to 10 the fundamental and up to nine harmonics can be replayed, but some gear ...

Re: Radio Junk from Cupwise at KVR Developer Contest 2012 !!

Very nice work indeed, and a completely different feeling from using Nebula, since the various controls feel more 'part' of the experience than bolted on to a standard interface ;) I'm well impressed with the versatile tonal possibilities on offer from these three, and looking forward to more Acqua ...

Re: do you use the libraries that come with nebula 3 pro?

I'm sure you may have explained this earlier [or someone did], but would you clarify any changes you may have made to the Libraries themselves ?? Currently, every Lib I have is located in the C:\nebulatemprepository with 2 sub-folders 'Programs' & 'Vectors' [standard installation]. So a question, a...

Re: real preamp

Hi gary! I went through a similar process in wanting to upgrade my DAC, but since I had the luxury of being able to get three models on loan for audition purposes as well as a Lynx Audio soundcard, and then write up my findings for Sound On Sound magazine, you may be interested in the results (espec...

Re: real preamp

I'd personally go for the Grace, for optimum transparency, and then add flavour afterwards if required, but then everyone's different ;)

Having said that the Warm Audio preamp is most intriguing - and that price! 8-)

Re: Any love for the preamp color suite?

About the src. To my ears when working at 44.1 with 96 programs there is a lost. It was also noticed in the SOS review btw. Hi Barendse! Only just noticed your comment, and since I wrote the SOS review in question perhaps I ought to explain my findings a little more ;) Where I was supplied with bot...

So do I (because I wrote it )

It's been in the works for some time, and I've done my best to highlight some of the best third party developers as well as Nebula itself 8-)

Re: updates to all Tube FM sets

Hi Tim, This is a huge set of improvements - loading times are quicker, the longer program titles are SO much easier to understand, the Trim control is perfect as I expected, but still getting the DIST control is even better. I've also found the Dry control very useful for mixing in - what a great u...

Re: what happened to the TRIM mode available since April?

Indeed it does - I found using the 'cupwise Blue Cat gain plug-in' gain staging wonderfully creative.

Just one twist of the knob and you can hear just what a preamp is adding without the volume changing 8-)

Looking forward to this enhancement as well g :ugeek:
