Re: Randomize parameters in Setups

Ok, thanks for the tip.
I found that the Reaper script "mpl_Randomize Track FX parameters.lua" allows for something like what I'm after.

Re: Randomize parameters in Setups

Cream is an example of the method I'm after, so is the reference to Brainworx. I'm not saying that it's the same thing. This is from the manual of the S9 console: " TRICK : to emulate the non linearity between the channels of the console, you can set the GDRV control slightly different on every trac...

Re: Strange noise in Water

Sure, that works if you already know what the safe zone is, but in this case I did not experience this issue before I rendered my entire project.
Seems that it would be better to know when and why this behaviour is triggered.

Re: Strange noise in Water

Hi
I know this. I do not use it to increase volume but to increase the saturation element in the plugin. It is also run at -18, like I always do, so no problems there.
However, when the situation is like described, the plug emits a burst of noise and someone should look into it.

Re: Randomize parameters in Setups

No, they are not. This is not really about the sonic quality of a given track based on working with variables in the sampled gear, but rather relates to achieving subtle differences to emulate a real console, where each channel strip would also be a bit different from the other. I assume that in tot...

Strange noise in Water

Hi Just bought Water, which I'm very happy with. Currently mixing a record where I use the comp on drum overheads group with pre engaged, input trimmed to +18. On a stretch where the snare is more or less alone, occasionally hitting a rim shot, I get a very audible short burst of noise from the comp...

Randomize parameters in Setups

Is it possible to have setups choose a random value within a defined range per instance? If, for instance, one would like to emulate a console, Alessandro Boschi allows for tweaking the drive or gain parameter to have subtle phase shifts to emulate actual console behaviour. Doing this manually over ...

Re: N4 programs

That might be interesting, but in the meantime: is it possible to acquire the NAT-software for self-studies?

Create my own libraries with NAT4

Ok, thanks for your replies.
Is it possible to aquire developer status to create libraries of my own? Also, is there a tool for sampling gear that comes with my N4 licence? I know NAT but that doesn't seem to be available to buy anymore.

N4 programs

Hi
Is it possible to create groups of programs in any way? For example using an eq where HF and LF are two programs, could these be grouped into one instance?

N4 setups

Hi
I'm able to successfully create a setup, in this case for the Tim Petherick N60 pre, but when I load that VST onto a track, the N4 instance is loaded without the library.
What am I doing wrong here? I get no errors at all during this process.

Thanks!
Will try it when the Norwegian holidays are over, and post specific results after.
