Re: N4 finally available on Aquarius

They were released yesterday, at the same time of n4 on aquarius They are the old nebula commercial library Thanks. This is really helpful. Now I'm a bit confused about when these libraries were initially created and released. Have they been available before now and I've just never noticed them? If...

Re: N4 finally available on Aquarius

I'm curious about the commercial library. It seems it's come out of nowhere! Who did the sampling? 3rd party, or in-house AA members? Very generous. Thanks for the update and the library. I'm not sure who did the sampling, but you can find out what is in the library with this page: https://www.lear...

Re: U76 v3 released

Hmmm ... for some reason, the pre at any sample rate is making a weird scratchy noise at default settings (gain drive at 0) in Logic Pro X, which is not the case with any of the other TimP pres I have. I've made sure my gain staging is fine, so it can't be that. It seems to be OK when I turn the dr...

Re: L-bus released!!!

Tim, wonderful work. These last several releases are astounding. My apologies for the noob question, but I'm wondering if the compression action will still work effectively when the kernels are switched from timed to freqd on the kernel page. I have a laptop that I travel with that simply can't hand...

Re: Timp news

I've got to say, Tim P's libraries are amazing ... and I haven't yet tried the latest Opto and U76 updates due to budget constraints. :D Today I decided to run a mix through some Blue 1102 pres as well as an HO Titan V2, and wow ... just beautiful. Anyway, this bus comp is one I'm very excited for. ...

Re: AlexB: R88 - Rupert 88 Console (it replaces older MWC)

This update is, once again, a sonic Masterpiece. Though very early into the listening process [in a mastering session], I've pulled in the LINE preamp and the CLEAN Bus preset. Already made the track better. Could easily be the choice to use. Later, I'll look at some direct, A/B comparisons ... but...

Re: AlexB: R42 - Rupert 42 Tape FX (it replaces older MWT)

I was reading about the hardware unit, and it seems that there are a lot of controls at the user's disposal (such as 300Hz bulge, high frequency ringing, low harmonic distortion levels, etc.). Are these controls available in the sampled Nebula programs, or is it just simple gain and drive levels?

Re: AlexB: R88 - Rupert 88 Console (it replaces older MWC)

AlexB libraries have always worked flawlessly for me in N4 as well.

Can anyone comment on the sound of of R88 and R33?

Re: Amethyst 3 - TBR 10-11th may

Does the compressor have individual channel separation like Cobalt (i.e., peak/RMS detection and compression is separate for L/R), or are the channels 100% linked?

Re: Cobalt is out! Pre-order (20%OFF)

So ... when is the actual release date? I can't seem to find any mention of it anywhere. I'd like to use it past the 30 trial days. :D

Re: Some gear that I would want in Nebula libraries

Here's another one: Undertone Audio's LC-72 console. http://www.undertoneaudio.com/products/uta-lc-72-custom-console https://www.sonicscoop.com/2012/04/10/eric-valentine-the-best-sounding-console-ever/3/ I know Greg Wells has one in his LA studio. It's probably the closest thing to my idea of a perf...

Re: Some gear that I would want in Nebula libraries

Might not be precisely what you are looking for, but have you seen this? https://www.timpetherick.co.uk/downloads/cadpan/ Yes, I have seen that! Thanks for pointing it out, regardless. I'm assuming that Tim sampled the preamp (or channel circuit) because the description mentions inevitable crosstal...

Re: Some gear that I would want in Nebula libraries

A 70s Cadac console would be supreme. I doubt it would happen because they're pretty esoteric ... but if someone ever wants to visit Jonathan Wilson at Fivestar, I would be be ever so grateful. :P
